Basically, I felt the same when I was first watching it... I was kinda torn between "wow, that was cool!" and "what the hell?"... still, I appreciate Apocalypse as a baddie (and I love the Age of Apocalypse-storyline)... that's why it is even sadder that they scrapped the second season of Wolverine and the X-Men...

Yeah I love the Age of Apocalypse storyline as well. They played it Saturday mornings here and would miss it every now and then cause I had to play rugby. But alas I really should watch it again.

By the way... what do you think of Avengers - Earth's Mightiest Heroes (which, as we all know, takes place in the same universe as Wolverine and the X-Men)? I think it is just as good...

I enjoyed the hell out of it and got it on Blu Ray in the collectors tin. At first I wasnt too fussed, but when the team came together and it started using multiple episodes to tell its stories I was hooked, watch the entire first season in one night.
I also hugely enjoyed Superhero Squad Show, was a good show to chuck on and have a laugh.

Same here... when watching the so-called micro-episodes, I was like "meh...", but the pilot episode was awesome indeed... cameos by the dozens (also by lesser-known villains such as the Griffyn)... occasional references to comic-storylines or the Marvel Cinematic Universe...it is really deatils like these that made the show stand out, IMO.

Pretty much, it didnt down play anything and it finally did Ultron justice. I love him as a villain, and hes generally treated like crap outside the comics. Its the first time they have really given him a personality and not just cold killing machine.

Yes... the Ultron-episodes were excellent... I also liked the Kang-episodes... and the whole Masters of Evil/Acts of Vengeance thing was cool as hell...

Yup Kang was great. The Masters of Evil was ok, but it just seemed a lil "oh yeah we forgot about that... and now its done."
I also have Iron Man Armored Adventures on blu ray which I expected to hate but really enjoyed it, I mean they pulled off MODOK and he actually worked, amazing.

Yeah... Armored Adventures is also cool... sadly, as of now, I only managed to track down the first season on DVD, but I have seen most of season 2 by now...
Man... they got most of the villains right... I mean... Ghost was cool... so was Mandarin... hell they even included Technovore... awesome!!!

Yeah, Ghost was pimply done. I even like the changes they made to Madam Masque. Technovore was awesome, though when it first appeared I though a nano version of Ultron. I thought the worst villain was The Crimson Dynamo, purely because he was so low key.

Hell, yeah... I forgot Madame Masque... yeah... neatly done as well... as far as Technovore is concerned... well... I knew what to expect... since he/it first appeared during the so-called Kaminsiki-era of Iron Man (which I love... basically Iron Man #280 - 318)...
And yes... Crimson Dynamo sucked... to be honest... the only other two villains I was not overly fond of were Iron Monger and Titanium Man (whose helmet looked like Starscream's head... and I mean the Starscream from the Bay-movies... ughh...).

Well... ok... then I won't spoil anything for you... But yeah... Extremis is definitely one of the best Iron Man-storylines EVER...

Hopefully Iron Man 3 will do it just! (Though I did enjoy Iron Man 2 alot more than Iron Man)

Yup... I am looking forward to Iron Man 3 and it's take on the Extremis-storyline... the only thing that has me worried is the fact that it has a sh**load of villains in it... Mandarin... Coldblood... A.I.M.... Aldrich Kilian... etc... and there's even talk of Radioactive Man... but I am confident that they will pull it off somehow... The only thing about which I disagree with you is IM2 being better than IM1... I like IM2 a lot, but I think it is still a far cry from IM1... but to each his own... In the end, it is all a matter of personal taste... and IM2 is certainly miles better than X-Men Origins Wolverine, X3, Daredevil, Elektra, Fantatsic Four 1&2 or Spider-Man 3... so, yeah... EDIT: The Mark V-suit rocks...!!!!
