I've never been outside of North America. I live in Pennsylvania and the furthest I've ever been from here is Las Vegas. My fondest memories from childhood are of camping in the woods. So that is my ideal destination. Unfortunately I am unable to camp because my friends and family either don't like camping or don't have time for it. My wife refuses. I guess I could camp by myself but that doesn't seem like it would be very fun. I'd also like to visit Germany some day. Camping is fun. Last time I did it was last October in America on the eve of my birthday with my girlfriend at the time. Sitting by a camp fire in the pitch black is so much fun but waking up shivering because it's so cold isn't as nice. I was in Las Vegas this past week, again for my birthday, love the place. Was so hot my lips actually got really dry and cracked. They hurt. Yeah Vegas is amazing, we stayed at the Flamingo. Did you stay at a hotel on the strip? Any recommendations on good hotels? We are planning on going again, I kind of want to stay at the New York-New York next time. What Las Vegas really needs is more people flicking escort service business cards in people's faces, and aggressive salespeople offering free shows if you attend a timeshare seminar.

Stayed at the Stratosphere this time - nice hotel, up at the top end of the strip going towards Downtown but if you stay there you get free entry into the tower which is amazing. Last year I stayed at Excalibur which is also a top hotel and a huge lively casino / retail section. New York New York is a cool place but not sure about staying there. The amount of Mexican's handing out free porn on the streets is a pain in the arse, there's so many cards on the floor that people throw away it's not exactly a great place to take kids - but I saw very little of kids there which is for the best.
