I received Long Weekend, Day of the Triffids, Shoot to Kill, and Extreme Prejudice from Amazon a few weeks ago.
The other day I bought Cat's Eye for a dollar from a thrift store.

Last one I got was Needful Things on DVD, about a week before I review it on Shitcase. Won't be getting anything now until I get a few as Christmas presents.

I bought Highlander on Blu-ray from Target today since it was only 7.50. I was slightly hesitant because I've heard it's a bad transfer. Well, I started watching it and it's not so much a bad transfer as an unbalanced one. Some scenes, especially ones featuring the Scottish Highlands are pristine. However, there are plenty of shots especially at the very beginning in New York City that are incredibly grainy. I didn't get to finish the film because my wife started whining about it being boring. So I turned it off; I'll finish it by myself tomorrow.

It wasn't that long ago I was thinking about some early Jackie Chan films I loved to watch on video when I was kid.
I then happen to find the classics Project A and Project A II on DVD and I imediately bought them and can't wait to watch these again.

Today I raided the bargain bin at FYE and picked up "From Dusk Till Dawn", "Candyman", and "The Border" for 12 dollars.

I haven't had a chance to pick up too many films recently but I bought Ip Man 1 and 2 in early december, for anyone who hasn't seen them and are a fan of Hong Cong action films these are a must especially the first film, also part 3 is currently in the works.
