I watched Taxi Driver (1976) last night after never seeing it. Was OK, don't think it deserves the high high high praise that it gets. Glad I watched it though.

10 years ago I would have agreed with you. The first time I saw Taxi Driver I thought it was kind of boring. After seeing it a couple times years later I changed my opinion. Now I think it's great.

My best pal/coworker and I got off work early today. We don't get to hang out and do cool things that much anymore because he has a kid. We decided to play video games and watch movies at my house. We watched the 1991 cinematic masterpiece "Stone Cold", which he had the misfortune of never viewing until today.

Pulse, While I'm getting into a lot of J-Horror recently, Pulse is a unique and terrifying horror flick highly recomended. Had you ever wanted to meet a ghost?

Just watched Pennhurst: The lost episode. Directed by and starring Micheal Rooker. Some shit film about some kids telling a story of a film crew that goes to a mental asylum to do a supernatural investigation. As one can imagine, this is a terrible film. Badly shot, badly acted, badly written. As one can imagine though. It's something that's a bit overdone with shoestring budget films already. Jumps a lot from one thing to another and doesn't explain a lot. Also has one of the strangest sex scenes I've ever seen. Generously 2/10

I watched Stand By Me last night. Amazing film, brings back so many memories of hanging out with my friends when I was a kid going for treks on an old railway track in the woods. Never found a dead body though - did find a dead swan once though there! Hmm.

The Raven- 7/10. Surprisingly good, though it did remind me a bit of Misery.
SPOILER!: The twist ending where you think the bad guy is going to win and it looks like he is going to get away, but gets into the carage only to find the detective there waiting for him and then getting killed, made up for the depressing events leading up to the ending.

Well I was at the comic book shop's fortnightly movie nite and I watched Night of the Creeps and Night of the Comet. Creeps was awesome due to Tom "Stop it!" Atkins being in it. Comet wasn't too bad if only to poke fun at Chakotay from Star Trek Voyager.

Any film with Tom Atkins in is worth watching for him alone. Last night I watched The Devil Inside. I'd give it a 4/10, ending didn't make much sense and a lot of just made me think "Exorcist rip off". The documentary feel started to feel very fake about half way through.

I had only seen bits and pieces of JFK (1991) before the other night. I watched the entire movie. It's a great movie. Great cast, acting, directing, etc. As long as you don't take it too seriously, because I'm pretty sure most of the story is bullshit. Other than that, it's a very well made movie. I might watch it again.

I just watched the 21 jump street movie and it was alright, but I would rather of had it a drama rather then a buddy comedy 7/10.

Yeah Brian, JFK is a good film. I've only seen it once and that was years ago but like you say, the cast is top notch. Last film I watched was Replicant on DVD the other day. I like it, not amazing but entertaining.
